Google my business

Google My Business (commonly known as GMB, and formerly known as Google Local and Google Places) is a business listing on Google, not unlike listings on online business directories such as Yelp. It’s also a core element of local SEO. If you’ve not set yours up yet, you’ll find out how to put your business on Google here.

Google My Business listings offer everything you need for a potential customer to find and use your services, buy your products or visit your business. Once you’ve registered or claimed your Google local listing, you can respond to customer reviews, add images and much more to help your business stand out in local search.

Google has added the ability to see all your reviews across multiple listings on a single page. You can see this within Google My Business reviews section at
The announcement. Google announced it over here saying “Businesses can view reviews for multiple listings at once. With bulk reviews, you’ll be able to view, reply to, and flag reviews for multiple listings from one place.”
This is available in location groups with 500 or fewer locations, but is not available for organization accounts.
Complete all the information Google asks for
There are a variety of questions Google wants you to fill out to complete your Google My Business profile. When done, your listing will have valuable basic data that will make it easier for potential customers to find more information about your company. And if you don’t fill out that information, someone else could. Many business owners don’t realize that anyone can suggest a change (or "edit") to your business listing — and that includes your competitors.
What it looks like. When you login to Google My Business, click on the left side to access the “Manage reviews” tab. Click it to see all your reviews on one page.

Why we care. This can be very useful for those who manage more than one location or listing.
📍How to Verify Your Business on Google
There are several ways to verify your GMB listing:
🌚By postcard
🌚By phone
🌚By email
🌚Instant verification
🌚Bulk verification

Google My Business App

Google My Business is also available in app form for both iOS and Android.
You can use the app to:
  • ▶️Update your business hours, location, contact information, and description
  • ▶️Post statuses and pictures
  • ▶️View search insights
You cannot use the app to:
  • ▶️Delete your business listing
  • ▶️Change its settings
  • ▶️Give ownership of the listing to another user
TIP: To grab a searcher’s attention, you want to include an image in your Post, but on Google Maps the Post image can get cut off. You might have to test a few Post image sizes to make sure it’s sized appropriately for Maps and the Knowledge Panel on desktop and mobile devices.
